Yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice to live in unity of body mind and soul. Derived from knowledge that is said to have been passed on from the Hindu gods themselves, Yoga has been practiced in elites of India more than 7,000 years ago. Historically it was considered a very sacred knowledge passed on only to worthy students in secluded settings. Ultimate goal of the pure yogic life (sattvic Life) is the complete union of mind, body and soul to a state of transcendental being that is detached from the material world and its suffering. Therefore, four paths need to be taken and fulfilled: Karma Yoga (selfless service to the greater good), Bhakti Yoga (path of devotion to the god within), Raj Yoga (includes the physical practice of asanas and was reserved for the kings exclusively) and Gyana Yoga (path of knowledge, study and understanding). In its totality Yoga is a complete Philosophy and way of life providing many answers to modern day dilemmas. It teaches holistic practice on physical, mental and spiritual levels that offer many benefits on every step of the yogic path, not just when reaching the ultimate goal but from the very first session on. Asanas (physical poses), Pranayam (working with the breath), Mudras (stimulating hand Gestures), and Mantras (therapeutic soundwaves) are tools in yoga to gain presence in the moment and awareness of the body and other energies. They can heal and alter physical or energetical disharmonies, that hinder our life from being united within and without. Physical Yoga Practice is a resourceful way to connect to ourselves, balance physical needs and energies. We gain strength to free ourselves from negativity and discomfort and come to awareness of our own system and the world around. Yoga Philosophy offers insights and explanations for universal and personal processes and can help to understand ourselves and the world, supports us in seeing the big picture of creation and foster compassion, acceptance and contentment. Much of the language to explaining godly energies and the composition of the universe uses similar terms and names to Hindu religion, so the understanding and grasping of the principals require an openness to this religious language.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda [sanskrit: Ayur (all life everywhere/life) veda (truth)] is an ancient holistic healing Science from the Indian subcontinent region. It is considered one of the oldest medical sciences with recorded history of around 4.000 years. It was born as a subjective science based on observation of the reality, especially in recent years it has been further adapted to modern research and laboratory studies, translating ancient knowledge into evidence-based structures. The exceptional approach of Ayurveda focuses strongly on the individual composition (constitution) of each Person to determine their holistically healthy way of life (Swastha Vrutam) and treatment of illnesses (Athura Vrutam). The key to any successful ayurvedic intervention is therefor the understanding of the very unique, personal being in their balanced natural state, and only from there supportive measures and treatment can be recommended. A big part of Ayurveda concerns the Self-management, where the overall healthy individual can life in a way to prevent and counter the collection of toxic substances from its surroundings and life in a harmonious way in the modern social life. It acknowledges, that in our world certain interactions and combinations of elements create toxins and teaches a way how to life a healthy, happy, prosperous and relaxed life in our toxic world. Due to the over 1000 toxic actions and processes we expose ourselves to each day, the collection of those is unavoidable for many and increasingly so over the recent centuries, therefore disease management has gained more attention. Scientists and Systems have also amplified research to validate complex ancient medication and techniques in clinical, creditable ways. Knowing your Ayurvedic Constitution (individual composition of elements) and gaining knowledge about how to balance and support your own system while living a modern social life. It allows us to be connected to yourself and the world around brings a stable, abundant and peaceful way of living. You learn how to minimise the exposure to for you toxic elements and set yourself up to fulfil your potential with ease of a healthy (physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual) body. Ayurveda has over 23.000 medicines, more than 80 surgical treatments, countless cleansing therapies, 13 massage (touch therapy) techniques and over 44 spiritual practises each carefully categorised by their own individual composition of elements, their potential and effect in interaction with the persons constitution. Medically, Ayurveda is more concerned with long term, holistic healing and might lack efficiency and quick relive in emergency situations and short-term symptom release, compared to modern medicine. Ayurvedic surgeries are seldom performed these days, and many techniques have been developed furth and adapted thanks to understanding and knowledge from other sciences. The transformation of Ayurveda under consideration of the ever-changing world we live in and understanding gained from present experiences has ensured that it was able to adapt to the present needs of humanity while staying a forever science, that is applicable for all life, everywhere.
Psychology & Neuroscience
are important fields to consider when understanding the human as a whole in the most recently appreciated way of statistical credibility and comprehensible evidence. Deeper logic understanding and research into the cognitive processes and their impact on life experience, give clinical explanations and structures to old, intuitive wisdom of ancient sciences. Primarily considering modern findings and theories of the past 200 years this science has thriven under immense attention to reproduceable evidence, verifiable trails, studies and research. In recent years Psychology has also included holistic approach trying to combine structured clinical research with the diversity and wonders of existence. Providing understanding for the own and general human cognitive processes with understandable models and neurobiological explanations helps to gain inside and navigate the functions of the mind consciously. Psychology has produced many effective strategies and treatments to detect mental issues through symptom analyses and provides a wide range of techniques to alter behaviour and mental patterns in the interest of functionality of the individual. It also considers, that many physical disfunctions are connected to and rooted in mental disharmony and teaches skills to live in a stable, well-functional, well-being, content, mental state in any Life situation.
Tantra
Tantra is considered the oldest Form of yoga, that which was taught by the God shiva to his wive. It emphasises the conscious work with energy flow both within ourselves (white tantra) and in exchange with other energies (red tantra), black tantra is the work with dark (shadow) energies. Tantric practices involve kriyas (dynamic physical exercises); Pranayam (Breathing techniques); Mudras (hand gestures) and Mantras (work with sound energy). The primary aim is to balance the flow of male and female energy in the system and proper function of the chakras (energy centres). People who are ready to open themselves up for deep energetical work benefit from traditional tantric yoga practise by realising their own divinity and allow themselves to transmit and transform the sacred sexual energy (kundalini) that initiates and drives all existence. For safe and deep tantric practise an experienced teacher is essential, the knowledge is passed on in the manner of shruti (deep listening) in a degree that the student is ready to receive. Continued practise and transition of all life aspects by accessing the universal power within us and everything, can bring students to the highest realm of conscious living, up till the total unification with the energetic dimension. It can be practiced for oneself or with a partner while it should be considered that a measure of trust is necessary to engage in shared tantric practise and partners should be chosen consciously and committed, once formed the total unity of male and female energy can be achieved in this realm, by completion with a person of the opposite energy dominance. Studying tantric philosophy and practising under guidance open up another experience of reality. Connecting deeply to the energetic dimension and accepting the influence thereof on life, gives unlimited power as well as responsibility to take charge of ones own life and its manifestations, as well as bringing a sure sense of stability and balance as foundation to high energetical work.
Open, Honest and Truthful Communication
Communication is one of the key principals in any supportive environment, research and experience show that open, honest and truthful communication is essential for a harmonious relationship with ourselves or others. Our intuitive senses pick up on dishonesty, even when our brain does a terrific job to reason for the presented expression and we are not even conscious of this process, we know that something is not quite right. This is one aspect, that intensifies our feelings of disconnect, confusion and insecurity, while we are desperately trying to make sense of the contradicting information that is picked up by different parts or consciousness. Great communication concepts like radical-honesty, heart-to-heart communication and many psychotherapeutic techniques as well as ayurvedic counselling emphasise the importance of free and true expression of conscious and unconscious thoughts, emotions and patterns. The key of open, honest and truthful communication opens many doors in internal conversations and in the exchange with people around us. Open meaning freely without intentions of protecting present structures of reality; honest meaning that the expressed reality is truly felt; truthful meaning without aiming to create a certain response, expressing to express – not to invoke a reaction. Communicating in such way is a powerful tool to perceive and reflect on present experience and their entanglements. Instantly the property of any emotion or though changes, once we freely express it. Through the very rationality and limitations of language we firstly have to really feel it, to enable honest expression about anything and with this we enter the first phase of acceptance already.
Tarot
is a Card game developed in the early Italian society and has been used for occult practises for centuries. The Cards representing the story and journey of the cycle of life are used to gain insides about situations, inner states, future, past and present. It works by initiating our inner knowledge through an energetically charged medium. Shamanic work
An ancient profession and crucial role within naturalistic communities world-wide. It requires a knowing person who is able to act as a medium between the commonly perceived reality and the higher dimension of the spirit world. They are able to transcend between both and bring healing, divinity and counselling to their fellow humans. Many unique rituals and techniques have developed in shamanic work, including the use of rhythmic sound, powerful plants, natures cycles, breath and dance in practices to receive healing, balance and prosperity in unity with the spiritual world. Many may have gotten lost or transformed through modern use though recently the acknowledgment and appreciation for the valuable ancient knowledge have risen. Carefully placed and conducted rituals can support in releasing energies that are not beneficial any more or invite those that will benefit us. It lets us live in a state of acknowledgment and appreciation for the powerful energies within us and the universe and we can be guided to create a symbiotic relationship with those to fulfil our potential while respecting and honouring what is bigger than us. Many rituals are designed to release blockages, energies and emotions in a healthy, not destructive way, this is a key to open up, to receive and connect with the power of the divine. Others or the same once also let us look at ourselves in a clear way to gain insight into our deepest pains, potentials and truths, this sets the groundwork to work through unconscious parts of our reality and towards a harmonious being; or can show us where we truly are on our path. Rituals are often held in communal settings with several participants of diverse competencies fostering the connection and support amongst the tribe and lets individuals benefit from the energy field created by performing rituals in big circles. Individual rituals and counselling with a shaman may be held for specific healing purposes.
Individualistic and Holistic
My unique individualistic and holistic approach is the acknowledgement of all of the above and many more techniques and focal points as highly valuable and considers that the effectiveness of any healing or practice strongly depends on the individuals present reality. While all techniques share the same truth, they describe the way and value of a healthy, happy and prosperous life in distinct language and provide varying practises. What language and action is acceptable for us used to be primarily shaped by the cultural norms and society we were born into, systems of understanding and healing were established in those. Globalisation and cultural exchange have displaced this commonly accepted world view within each community and challenges us to find individual, unique ways to form reality and exist within that. Similarly diverse is our present possibility to access and explore hundreds of languages, ways of living and supportive systems. With those described above I have created a repertoire that allows me to work with people form any background and find a common ground in which we can create a shared reality and find suitable beneficial elements that the individual can connect to and incorporate in their life. By combining scientific understanding and strategies with ancient spiritual knowledge and practice we accept the totality of reality in each session, yet the balance will always be chosen according to the individual capacity and needs. This aims to create safe, non-judgmental and low threshold supportive environment while consciously inviting new understandings and techniques that would be beneficial to the individual.
